What is Revelo?

Revelo is a freelance developer platform connecting companies with developers based in Latin America.

How Revelo works

  1. Fill out a short form to tell us about the developers you are looking for.
  2. A Revelo rep will schedule a call for more details.
  3. Revelo will send you a list of pre-vetted candidates that match your requirements in a few days.
  4. Interview the candidates to select who you want.
  5. Start working with your developer in a 2-week trial period.

Revelo Pros & Cons

Fees and Pricing

You must pay a $500 deposit to get started with Revelo. And it’s non-refundable.

From there, Revelo issues you a monthly bill which covers the developer’s fees and Revelo’s service fees.

Also, if you decide to permanently hire their candidate onto your own books, you have to pay the next 12 months’ service fees.

Bad Client Reviews

The number of experienced developers in Revelo’s network is few. And this client agrees. Plus, they’re not fully transparent with their fees. The one-time non-refundable is a serious turn off.

This Redditer was unhappy about their ‘dishonesty’ fees:

Conclusion

Revelo is a legit company for hiring Latin American developers. Their developers are able to deliver, but a small talent pool means you might not always get a matchup in time.

Revelo’s lack of openness about their pricing model is something to get you thinking, especially if you’re on a tight budget. If you want a company with transparent pricing and a dedicated team for your project, we recommend ReactSquad.io.
